Night time sure crashes early here in the back woods.
It’s warm -one would say “balmy” for this time of the year.
There is a gentle breeze blowing in from the west and I have just come in after doing “night check” on the boys.
It is only 8:21 EST and why do I feel like it is midnight?
Oh ya – it’s because I have been going hard non stop since 4:30 this morning.
It is days/nights like these that I ask myself “what have I gotten myself into?”
What will I do when the snow starts to fall and it is minus 20? Write about it of course. Keep everyone up to to date of the comings and goings.
I so look forward until December 21st and the days start getting longer again – 2 minutes a day don’t ya know.
I’ll soldier on – try and stay awake and remember why…to achieve a dream of ours since 2001.
Is it still worth the early mornings and early evenings? – The hauling of hay and feeding of grain? The worrying at work hoping the boys are ok? The non stop GO GO GO????
