These are a few of my favorite things!

Bot knives and hoof picks and cleaning the stalls – farriers and vets and picking up poo balls – bales that come tied with a bright orange string – these are a few of my favourite things

Sons who give hugs even though they are 20 – hubby tells crude joke but I laugh a plenty – knowing it’s daughter when my cell phone rings – these are a few of my favourite things

Friends and family – cats and kittens – filling water troughs  – electric fences – mending blankets – worrying when my horse coughs

9pm feedings and stinky coveralls – late evening dinners – still picking up poo balls

Over price fuel oil and and wild turkeys that sing – these are a few of my favourite things.

My favourite things – in no particular order – again NO PARTICULAR  order – as they come to me.

1. When I can hear my horses call me early in the morning – because they are starving of course.

2. My son- asking for hugs – he is 20 and to me he will always be 5 and if he ever reads this – too bad bud – my blog – my rules

3. My daughter – tough cookie – so pretty – such a good soul- such a blond sometimes – she is me xxoo

4. Hubs – disgusting sense of humour that I role my eyes at but secretly  laughing my ass off. The patience this man has is nothing short of miraculous – trust me – I am a pain in the ass.

5. Anyone who reads this – thank you so much.

6. My facebook family – now I am not going to say friends and family or family and friends because many many many of my facebook friends have become like my family. 

7. Wine (how did that get so far down the list? oh ya no particular order)

8. Kittens with Mittens!!

9. 61 more days until spring – throwing that out there.

10. The constant feeling of impending financial doom and how I know I am exaggerating.

11. Snow – yes – I like snow – I like winter – I like minus 40  – no bugs – no heat stroke and minimizes hot flashes.

12. and last but certainly not least – ME!!! I love me – I love my too long greying hair – my crooked teeth and every wrinkle on my face. I love how I moan and groan when I stumble out of bed in the morning to face another day. I love how I take care of my family even though I bitch and complain about it. I love my truck. I love my horses. I love my cats and kittens and my friends and family – but most of all I love myself. All 49 year old (holy shit) 130ish pounds (have no clue how much I weigh and nor do I care) of me.

Life is great on the farm!
